We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to be based in our NYC office. The projects associated with this position will focus on low and medium voltage distribution systems for infrastructure facilities, with a focus on transportation. The applicant should be able to work independently, and be able to apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis within the discipline. This position allows for considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Effective written and oral communication with project team members and with the customer is a key component of this position. May direct and coordinate various engineering disciplines for large scale engineering projects. Some domestic travel is required.

Job Responsibilities:

Evaluate project goals then develop plans and specifications for use during project construction

Perform Short Circuit and Coordination Studies

Perform lighting calculations

Perform site visits to properly identify project scope

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

4+ years experience in Low/Medium Voltage Power Distribution

4+ years of specialized work experience in a comparable consulting or A/E design firm

4+ years Microstation and/or AutoCAD experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Position Summary

The Construction Manager will be part of the Field Services Construction team.   • Minimum 10 years related experience, in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection and maintenance and protection of traffic for day and nighttime operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years NYDOT Office Engineer experience.
