SRA Tech, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for full-time Structural Engineers for a Design and consulting firm in New York City/Long Island.

Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

1) Design structural elements and systems by using computer software.

2) Determine design criteria using relevant codes.

3) Use software to analyze and design lateral systems.

4) Design building foundation, gravity load, and lateral load systems/elements.

5) Prepare structural drawings.

6) Perform structural analysis using engineering software.

7) Review shop drawings.

8) Perform site inspections & surveys.

9) Communicate with clients and other consultants regarding projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in structural engineering. (Master’s preferred)
• 1-5 years experience in the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to manage projects to meet schedules and deliverables.
• Strong technical and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient with engineering software: RAM, Revit, Autocad, Excel, ETABS, PCA Slab, etc.
